Privacy Policy
Shimmer is designed to keep your data on your Mac. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.
What we collect
We do not collect personal data, and we do not run analytics or third-party tracking SDKs.
How your files are handled
Shimmer only works with the folders you explicitly choose. All file organization happens locally on your Mac. Your files, file contents, and folder names are never uploaded or shared.
Network connections
Shimmer connects to the internet only to:
- Check for app updates.
- Validate that your license is still active.
License checks confirm whether the app is allowed to run and do not include your files or file contents.
Crash reports and debug logs
Shimmer does not automatically send crash reports or debug logs. The only time logs are ever sent is if you explicitly choose “Send to support” from the app's Support screen. Nothing is sent without your explicit action.
Your control
You can quit Shimmer at any time or remove folder access in macOS System Settings. Shimmer will stop interacting with any folders you revoke.
